hi guys,
as you may know, there is a new modelling book coming out:
http://www.nordicedgemodel.com/
i've read some reviews and i'm really excited to get this book, but it's also made me wonder:
if someone was to publish this kind of book featuring singaporean modelers, what kind models would you guys like to see...
or more importantly what kind models/articles/features would make you want to buy such a book?
whose models (singapore based modeler) would you like to see in the book?
personally i'm slanted towards armor and figures, but i wonder how many car, ship, aeroplane modellers are out there?

Hi,
I will be leaning towards armor and airplanes. There are actually quite a bunch of modellers like us here, but majority are low profile.
Cheers!

Actually, I would love for someone write a book on sculpting figures. I have longed to sculpt figures of a era or a particular war figure for myself but I am sure no model company is going to create such a modeland mass produce it.
would be good if someone can create such a book. Calvin Tan's book is good but not as comprehensive.....

good idea, what did you feel was lacking in Calvin's book, or how do you think it could be improved upon?

don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong or bad about Calvin's book. what I feel is that his book should also show more on how to scratch build, molding your own figures and more on things for beginners like handling plastic or resin figures......
The painting technique in his book is very detailed and very well documented.
