plaster question

hi guys!

im just starting to embark to my first dio and i needed everything to be planned out perfectly before i could start doing the scene..

so here's the deal.. i have made 2 separate plaster walls.. the question is how should i stick them both together? what is used to "stick" plaster to plaster?

White (PVA) glue will work.... you can also use Plaster................ Epoxy is another option.

thanks matt! what do you guys use to "scribe" bricks on plaster?

another question is would plaster break or be brittle if i dont put reinforcements inside while molding?

HMm scribing.... Anything Sharp really.... I've used Scrbes the back edge of a No 11 blade Just about anything will work.

If you're casting it and using a "regular" plaster I try to use something to reinforce it Window screen or something. Some of the comercial stuff is a Higher strength plaster that isn't as brittle.

You can also use "liquid nails" (aka construction adhesive) to glue plaster walls together.

As far as a scribe, I have some old Snap On Tools Picks from work I use and some dental picks also. So, go get your teeth cleaned and when the dentist leaves to go get your ex rays, swipe some of his tools!
