Scott:
Best of luck to you in your endevor. Which branch/job did you sign-up for?
My wife and I always pray for military personnel who are engaged in the war on terror. We sometimes forget about those who serve in other countries, but we will not forget about you. Thank you

Thanks guys.
Anthony, I've signed up for the combat sector of the army. With my interests being in marksmanship, and paratrooper.

I blame my father for letting me watch the first gulf war on the telly when i was a young child. Ever since then, i've always wanted to serve.
I'll let you know how things go.

Depending on if i get in, and what career i take, i should be pretty much safe.
I have a knack for being able to get out of tight spots.
Anyway, thankyou everyone for their support.

Hi Scoot,

How did the application go on joining the army? did you get through?
Its ok depending on what corp, branch or the job that you want to go for, at currant im still serving in the army on operations in Iraq only have a few weeks left until i end my second tour of Iraq then its back to the uk for some rest then maybe going to afganistan in the near future.

I wish you all the best for your future in the army.

Scott,

How are things going for the military. I left the army about a year after the first gulf war, I was a 12b30 at the time. Joined the Nat. Guard after awhile but have left the service totaly about 3 yrs ago. Only advice I have for you is pick a job you like, one with civilan options for after service. Don't believe everything you hear and take all the college money you can it will come in handy. Good luck and stay safe.

Ciao Scott,
Good luck and keep your head on a swivel. You will do fine, and when you don't, there will be fine people to knock some sense back into line! Keep in touch with us. You will grow to love it or hate it. There is no middle of the road in the military.
Ciao for now
Rob

They still haven't got back to me, at all.

I got an email saying thankyou for filling in the application form, and nothing else.
