Saw this article over @ Fark and thought I would post it here.
Simply amazing.
Classic quote from the article:
"But the federal Bureau of Land Management is considering expanding the gun-restricted area by 41,000 acres to try to limit shootings at Idaho Army National Guard troops who report slugs bouncing off their tanks on a regular basis."

Thats funny. If I was one of those tankers, I'd stop the vehicle, locate the shooter with thermals, rotate the turret, sit back and watch how fast those guys are on their legs. Great find Shaun!

Seems to me there should be a simple rule of engagement. "If fired upon, assume the shooter is a terrorist and return fire."

I agree 100%.... but the poor bleeding hearts nitwits would start crying about freedom of expression, and how they have the right to do that, but not the right to get shot in return. Plaster the bast*ards with a few shells, and call in napalm.

OH... did I ever warn people--- don't give me the keys to the nukes....

Why not reply back with a few hundred blanks or so? Real or not, I'd be running!

As a gun owner and target shooter, these kinds of idiots really tick me off. I know alot of shooters and none I know would even think of doing the stupid crap written about in this article. It's morons like this that really give the shooting community as a whole a bad name.

And I'm with Matt on this one. A few loads of shot and rocksalt lobbed in their direction would definitely make these a-holes think twice about doing it again.

I’ll second that.
There’s no reason for such actions that put others at risk and these actions should be considered the same as if a terrorist was firing on the base.
It would take a real idiot to fire on military equipment. And in this case its hardly able to be considered an accident.

This is a fine time to use the rare fire command, "Driver, tracks, troops."

A 60 ton tank will chase them down real quick and put the fear of being crushed into them.
