Can someone tell me how to make this? Do i just use normal string?

Hi,
depending on how thick and how long you want the rope to be..... if it is coiled up rope, i have used book binders (the ones that comes with metal things on each side).

if you want really long ropes like repelling type from helicopters, try twisting about 10 strings of sewing thread soaked in part whiteglue and part water. let it dry over night.
