I have a real cheapish one from Radio Shack. Ran about 15 bucks when I picked it up a few years ago. Changeable tip, dual voltage, 15 and 30 watts.

I'm not sure what PE stands for but 84 lumber carries a soldiering iron for about $14.95. For the work I do About 95% of my sclupting I use an old Wal-mart wood burner at $9.95.

I have both a cheap, POS soldering iron and a cheapo woodburner. The woodburner comes with some varying tips, all of which can work for soldering. Of course I've never tried soldering with a woodburner, but, I don't see why not.

My $.02

I also have a cheap Radio shack iron bought many years ago.

think time to invest in a new one.

So best way to clean the PE I guess would be Lacquer Thinner?

Correct?

Never tried Soldering the stuff but have 5 T-34 grills I need to change and after making the first one from scratch, the $10.00 for each is money well spent I think

But then again the putting together of the PE {photo Etch} Anthony

might change my mind

Matt I am going for the M1A1 build in the campaigns.

Lucky we have 6 months

Thanks all

If they're brass I soak them in a bit of Vinegar and be sure to Flux where you want the Solder... add heat sinks as needed.
