Does anyone have advice on where to get a M249 to mount on a Tamiya M1025 that I am converting to a M1114? I know there are a couple of sets that include M16A1 rifles, but I am only looking for a single M249, since we used M4s when I was over there.

Thanks,

Michael

Dragon's Modern Assault Support Weapons set. There are a couple of them in there. I wish I still had them, but, I already traded them out a bit ago.
That's where you'll find them.

The Dragon and Tamiya M249s have the open stock. I don't know of any aftermarket M249s with the fully solid stock.

The only one I can recall comes with this Blast Models figure:

Actually, Jason, there is one Dragon set that has the solid stock on the SAW, and that's the "Special Forces" set, #3024.

Hobby Fan's "Modern U.S. Weapon and Equipment Set" comes with a SAW PIP with fixed stock and the coveted M240B 7.62mm "Army version" machine gun. It also has the MOLLE II backpacks and canteens.

Lucky Models sells this with FREE shipping worldwide so IMO, the kit's worth the price. Sawing off the pour blocks is super-easy, one of the softest yet firm resin I've ever encountered.

I meant to write a review on this kit...one day .

Blast Models weapon set for the humvee also has a correct M249 and a mount for placing the SAW to the rear on the turret. There isn't a adapter for it to attach to the main mount in the kit, but it isn't too hard to scratch one.
