Hello Fellow modellers

Well, my time will coming soon and my wife and I will be emigrating to Canada in July / August 2007. With all this upheaval, all the modelling tools and countless kits are packed in boxes to make their way across the Atlantic to Toronto!

Anyway, with no modelling in my house, my wife is happy!! (for now anyway) What have you all got on the go...anything interesting...??

My latest diorama has come to a standstill (a Siegfried Line pillbox), Yes, its is a box packed to go!!....

Stay safe all of you!!

Regards
Garth

Hi Garth,

Best of luck with the move. Migrating to a new country, let alone continent is always difficult.

Out of curiosity, are you using a migration agent?

Already got jobs etc lined up on the other side? Or you going in blindly for the adventure?

Hi Rudi

Yes, we are using an agent based in Montreal. As for jobs, yes and no to that one, but thankfully we have had good feedback from prospective employers thus far!

We are hoping to make Canada our permanent home for a whole host of reasons! We will never forget that SA is our home and will always remain..proudly South African!!

Do you have any interesting projects on the go at the moment??

PS: Maybe one day you chaps will have to come and visit....

Garth

Hey Garth,

Projects on at the moment? You mean apart from all the product reviews?

Yup, got 2 figures almost finished painting. And started sculpting a 75mm Knight Templar. Look for a thread on Historicus Forma titled something like "SBS: Sculpting a knight"

Hi Marius
Many thanks for the kind words!
Yes, the extreme weather will take getting used to.... no more Highveld thunderstorms or lazy summer afternoons, now its 1 month of spring, 2 months of summer and the rest is the clean, driven snow!...

Oh well, indoors means more modelling, I suppose...!
Dont worry the flag on the left will stay SA for now...
Cheers
Garth
