Hi
I thought I'd post this here to see what you guys thought. For my DT project I made a display cabinet for my models. Anyway, here is a pic of it, sorry this is the best one I have of it at the moment.

It is made of pine and is 895mm tall so will probably be on atable. There is perspex fronting divided into two for each level which slide in grooves as can be seen on the top. The idea is that it is modular. Also the perespex should have finger holes in so to ease opening them but I haven't gpt round to that yet. Nick

Nice idea, looks great Nick, love the modular fact! Adding any lighting?
Thanks for sharing!

Yes, I will probably add it once I get it home though. Do you think I should use LEDs or something else. Cheers. Nick

Hi again, Nick!
Personally, I would use low profile, high intensity, cabinetry lighting...they use a xenon bulb, and with proper installation, are practically un-noticable, and the bulbs will last a great time...something like this:

Look into Westek Lighting...
Cheers,

No problem, mate...I've used these lights for years with no problems at all...the lens tends to get a bit warm, but the rest of the fixture and transformer stays cool to the touch...and they throw out a ton of good light!
