On an armor kit, when do you generally attach the road wheels and weather them?
I'm working on my Marder III and I have the body and road wheels basecoated and the detail painting pretty much done. Build order notwithstanding, I'm gonna gloss coat everything, do some washes, put on a matte sealer, and then try some pastels or something to dust it up a bit.
At what point would most of you finally attach the road wheels? Keep them separate until after the matte coat is applied, to keep the finish uniform, then put them on and do the "dry weathering?"
Just looking for some different options,
Thanks,
Bruce.

I put them on soon after base coat color. If this includes a camo pattern, then they're on after the first color so the second, third, . . . forth color all match together. Then wheather with them on.
