I've been trying to upload photos for a while now. It's the weirdest thing! I'll browse the photos, I'll hit "Add", and it will show up, then I hit "Upload/Submit", and then...no photos. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for your time.

The only thing I can think of is that the original photos must be too big and need to be resized. Somewhere on the upload photos page it tells you the maximum size of file allowed.

If there are too many large files the server can litterally 'time-out' on the task to upload the files. Try uploading just one file as a test to see if that works. Then try 5 to see if that many will work.

Sorry for the troubles. Alas our gallery is getting quite large and I am sure more than a few people have noticed it can crawl a bit. I am working on a new setup on a new server but have run into delays on that project.
