Hello all,
I had a problem with the original thread about this show. In fixing it, I somehow managed to delete the entire thread
So I had to post this new thread.
If there was anything important in the old one, I can only offer my apologies. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help.
So, here's the text of the original message:

I just wanted to let everyone know about our upcoming show here in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania
The Three Rivers Chapter of IPMS is hosting the Region IV 2 day event this March 30-31.
Here's a link to the show page of our website...
http://threeriversipms.org/blog/?page_id=48
One thing that may interest you is that we use the open judging system at our annual show and have gotten permission to do the same thing for this regional.
If you're in the area, I hope that you'll try to attend the show.
If you do, please be sure to look me up .
Thanks,
Craig
PS: We're having a little difficulty with the times for the show.
Seems there have been different times posted in different places
As soon as I get the official correct times, I'll post an update here.
Sorry for any confusion.

Mongo,
I noticed on the website that

"The IPMS/USA Region 4 Convention will be open for attendance during the following hours: Friday, March 30th, 2007 12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. "

Is this open to the public? Or still the vendor set up time? I apologize if this is the same issus discussed earlier. I just want to maximize the amount of time I have at the show.
Thanks!

Hey wolfe,
No problem with you asking.
It's me that needs to apologize for the error on our website. That time should not read that way.
We had a committe meeting last night to make sure that ( anong other items) everyone has the right times and gets them out to their people.
That page should be updated real soon with all of the correct times for the vendor and model rooms as well as for the seminars and the banquet.
Just to be safe, I'm not going to list those time here but refer you back to the website (hope you don't mind).
But I can tell you that the vendor room does not open to the public at noon on Friday.
As soon as that page is updated, I'll copty the information to this thread.
Again, please accept my apologies for any confusion this is causing.
Thanks,
Craig

Hi guys,
There's something I've helped organize the last few years when I've gone to the 2 big figure shows I attend and I thought we might try the same thing at the regional.
What say we try to get together for a group photo for the web site?
If everyone is going to be at the show on Saturdy, we can do it then.
And if you're only going to be there on Friday, look me up and we can get a mini group picture
Anyone interested?

Craig,

I don't consider myself to be the most photogenic, but if I can coordinate my time at the show with the photo op, I'd do it. Just post up here and I'll keep tabs on what's going on.

Well...the show is over.
It was a really hectic weekend. I'm got home last night all achy, with bloodshot eyes and a sore throat from all the talking I did all weekend long. But mostly it was my huge grin that my wife noticed. The final conut I heard was 544 models. and the vendor room was pretty amazing. More than 60 vendor tables sold!
The banquet and awards ceremony with slide show of the gold medal models and specials went off almost perfectly.
As with any show, we had our share of difficulties. But we handled each one as best we could and I think everyone seemed to go away happy.
I'm sorry to say that i didn't get a chance to meet up with anyone from the web site. I know that Jeff (Bodeen) made a huge effort to attend. Just bad timing prevented us from getting to say hello. T
hanks for coming down Jeff
If anyone else was there, thanks to you as well. I hope that you had a good time

Sounds like a great show. Just too bad that you didn’t get to meat any site members.
Really wish I could have made it.

Craig,

Glad to hear everything went well. I only made it as far as the vendor room on Friday afternoon with my two kids. My 3 y.o. was getting cranky, so we had to pass on the rest of the show. I had fully intended on coming back on Saturday morning alone, but my wife got called into work and by the time she got home, it was too late to come back.

In case you popped into the vendor room betwee 4-5 on Friday, I was the guy in the Pittsburgh Penguins practice jersey getting pulled in two directions by my children.

Congrats on a nice event from what I saw, and hopefully next time, I'll have a babysitter!

Frank, sorry I missed you. A lot of the day was a big blur so if I saw you, I don't remember
Irish...as soon as I learn of any pictures posted, I'll let everyone know. I believe we took pictures of every model entered

Irish,
Here's a link to the photos posted from the show. From what I can tell, it's not pics of all the models but only of the gold medal winners and up...

Jump to page 6 to see the first of the model photos.
