Talking to my brother on the phone one night I casually asked him what he was doing. He replied that he was building a Panzer tank.
It was like a revelation! So rather that vegetating in front of the telly watching programmes I didn't want to see night after night I thought I'd re-start on the old model making.
Now I sit modeling at the kitchen table, music on, glass of wine nearby, and I love it. I'm in the middle of my first model, a T34/76.
Cheers
Gaf

I do hope you realize that, if the modeling bug really sets in, you will soon have a dedicated workbench with a butt-load of tools, in a dedicated hobby room with lots of shelf space and a window to vent the spraybooth in the corner. There will be a TV with cable in there, a refrigerator stocked with beer and CA and a computer next to the workbench all cued up to Armorama and a second window for searches open. There will be paint racks and 50-drawer boxes with oodles of small parts.
Not to worry you or anything, but there's a person named SWMBO who will not understand why you have 30 model boxes on shelves even though you can "only build one at a time". Humor this person with deception. Trust me
Good luck! We have a support system built in to Armorama, just start the post and answers will come.
Welcome to the Big-A,
:-)

Thanks very much. I suppose you remember that feeling when you started modelling, where your nervous about starting the next stage of the project. Well knowing that there are so many people out there ready to share their knowledge for the love of it is great.

Diolch (thanks) for the welcome.
I'm glad you enjoyed our small but perfectly formed country. Which part did you visit?

Thats a great time to model, nights when there is nothing to view on television, or sneak in an hours worth afterdinner before the good shows start.

Modelling is something you never really get away from. You may pause for a while but the lure is strong enough to pull you back eventually!
