Have you noticed that if a model is very, very good, photos of it really don't do it justice, while if a model is only so, so photos make it look so much better? For example at the club meeting tonight I got to see the Sherman 105 that Red4 posted photos of here a while back. It looked good on the photos, but so much better in person. At the same time I brought a M12 GMC in a dio and it's decent, but nowhere in the same league, yet when a club member took photos of it it looked outstanding, without any editing.

Yes - it is interesting when you are able see a model both in photos and in person - and that difference you noted becomes apparant.
