I've tried to finish a model with Tamiya's clear and it worked well where you were spraying but right around the direct spray area, small salt-like granules would form. I almost ruined the model, but managed to spray over those and they ended up melting... Is this a sign of paint going bad or what? I really hope paint lasts more than 1 year because this one wasn't even a year old.
By the way, I've tried to thin it with tamiya's thinner, testor's thinner and alcohol and it did the same thing. I do have plenty of other clears, but I am just curious as to what the problem is.

are you sure it wasn't the Flattening or Glossing Agents that you mix with the paint??

I believe that tamiya's clears are to be mixed in with the paint not seperately sprayed or brushed.
