I'm guessing this has been asked a billion times, but anyone got idea's for scratchbuilding tarpaulins?

I searched the website but i couldn't find anything useful.

Facial tissue, such as Kleenex, not the scented-soft-aloe laced ones, but the good ol' rip your skin off type. Fold and form it, then brush a couple coats of diluted white glue over it, soaking it fully. Once dry, paint and weather and you are done. You can also use this technique for rolled up sleeping bags, tarps, tents, cargo covers, etc.

I noticed that article, but it must have been a broken link, 'cause it wouldn't allow me access.

The tissue idea just turned to paper mache, And the silicon based tissue didn't work, so i tried my own method, Worked really well.
I'll get pictures and make a tutorial soon.
