I've just noticed that whichever site I am on (aeroscale, historicus forma etc), next to the name of the site is a little icon. when I put the cursor over it it says "SWITCH TO ALTERNATE URL". What does this do?

Switches from .net to .com
Incase you are having problems on one or the other.

Dave is of course correct. Sometimes we may find that a fixed URL has taken us off the domain we are logged in on, so by clicking that link on any page in the site your are moved to the exact duplicate of that page on the opposite domain (example: aeroscale.co.uk vs. aeroscale.kitmaker.net).
Cheers,
Jim
