Let's see.........

Outstanding subject as usual, check!
Heavy modification of donor kit, check!
Incredible results, check!

Yes, I'm compiling a checklist to verify it's your work or an imposter taking your name and possibly marring your record. I believe 100% that Steve IS doing this kitbash/scratchbuild!

I really love your threads, Steve. You go over everything during the build and I learn something about assembly technique every, single time.

Whooooooooooooaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!.......wait a bloody minute. How in the pooparama's did I miss this thread!?!
Man, I really miss my full set of synapse's.......

Now, to voice my very first thought my good barv/Steve........"YER KILLIN" ME!!!!!

What I mean by that statement is; your ability to..........wait, before I surrender myself to dribbling madness, allow me to downshift, and ask specific questions of your scratching process if I may?

In your 4th photo {the one with the "...tapered boxes really" , how precisely did you determine the exact shape of each tapered box??

Next, your 8th photo {the one with the angled louvre's}. What made you decide to make those in angled stock, when by the photo {and my old eyes} it appears that those slats are flat?......or is my mid-life blindness kickin' in?

Also, when you are in the decision making process of whether or not to build a particular subject, what if any is the minimum number of photographs of a vehicle that you feel is 'enough'?

How much personal 'fudge factor' do you feel is acceptable?

What is your prefered torture for those naughty "gremlins on your bench"?

What is the atomic weight of an African Swallow?

How much wood can a Woodchuck..............nevermind.

-------4th pic ....by extrapolating verticles from base pic ----gives slant angle

-------8th pic ....they are angled at the sides upturned elongated "U " shape ----still got to flatten tops

-------Pictures needed ........ Minimum number is 4 ---but need a fair knowledge of top if not a pic ----this is being one with 36 --taken from magazine ( 15 extracted and sized) and the rest from on-line [BTW ---TROJAN built with 16 ]
Trailblazer took 10 years before had enough pics]
------"FUDGE"-----if I find that it is more than a few mm out I scrap and re-do ---Cab was 4mm too high --has been cut back ---cupola was 8mm too far forward [my lack of double checking ] new roof plate now made ..........[OLLIE1A to be rebuilt --new info obtained]
Gremlins I live with....carpet monster has grabbed 2 bits to-day ---
so built another 2 bits

Other "Q's"-----refer you to Encyclopedia Brittanica --Vol 6 Pg 107 ,Line 57 :-) :-) :-)

I have been round -on and in a "Bully " ---Mark 1 eye-ball and a reasonable memory has helped ...same with "HIPPO"

Holy Mackeral Steve!

Man....some of the talent that hangs around this place leaves me sockless. And being able to view it in such a concise and condensed form is absolute candy for me
As I've already mentioned to our good Ti on another thread, there are blokes here who are naught but inspiration for me, and I'm sure many others here at the big 'A'. You are indeed one of them my friend.
I count us all fortunate indeed that you choose to take the time and share not only what you're building at any one time, but also how you go about doing it.....thx for that.

As they would say in 'Bill & Ted's excellent adventure' Your build is looking "most excellent!"

regards,

Tread.
