Ok, for those that attended January's meeting we know we are running a Hobby show in early March at the Richardson Civic Center. We were talking about having a meeting Feb 10th as well as the 24th to help in the planning. A lot of this will be done by a professional organizer, but little things we can do as well as doing the atual staffing will be of neccessity for the event. So, guys give us a wee bit o feedback. I don't want to be the only one that shows up next week. Despite finally having ajob, I still plan to wait awhle for that Hood :-) :-)

Doesn't look like I'll make it this Saturday. Some of our exhibits are goofed and we are under a deadline to fix them,so I'll be at the office Saturday working....for $24 an hour it sure doesn't hurt my feelings very much.

Sorry guys, I couldn't make it either. Car was in the shop yesterday and I didn't get it back until near 6 o'clock.

Nothing happened. We probably should reschedule for 2/17, at 2 pm perhaps?

Andy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You old bum!!!!!!! Great to hear from you again. Hey dude, We are hosting a show on March 10th at the Richardson Civic center. See if you can make it. Keith and I formed a modeling club that is pretty actrive. Keith also owns a great hobby shop in southwest Plano you should check out. We have a meeting next week there it is at the corner of Presto and Campbell road in a small little shopping area.
Jim; just read about the proposed resceduling. It is now 2PM on the 17th, so I guess I won't make it. Still planning on attending the regular meeting next Saturday. Of course they have been working my ass off at the new job. It is great to be paid by the hour !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to leave early last Saturday anyway, so looks like the meeting next Saturday will be the best chance to actually do some work for the show. Glad to hear you're keeping plenty busy on the new job, you know what they say about idle hands - they're sooner or later filling out apps for unemployment checks

OK so much for planning and organizing. Jim was there working and other than that only Mike and I showed up. Needless to say absolutely nothing in way of planning for the show was done. It starts at 9 am on March 10th. I imagine some of us should get there a little early to see what we can do. I imagine Keith will post further details in this or a new thread, so check the forum every day or so. My new job has me scheduleless so to speak. I am at the whim of the attorney who has a tendency to go frantic at the last minute with demands of tremedous amounts of work done in unreasonably short periods of time. (Like redacting 4000 pages in a day). Of course this esulted me getting 27 hours of overtime the past 2 weeks and Lord knows I need the money.

Well my treat to myself as going out to dinner at a decent restaurant (as oppossed to 99 cent burges at Wendy's or a Subway)was a bust. I still owe myself that. DO NOT GO TO YES BUFFET in Grand Prairie (Chinese) it is not real good. So next week back to Ton's Mongolian my usual Chines placeor maybe Traildust steakhouse

I would have been there but was held up in the hospital all afternoon. Linda and I were in a car wreck Friday night, neither of us was seriously hurt just cuts and bruises but the car's probably totalled. Some idiot teenage girl decided to cut out of her lane and go around traffic that was stopped in front of her for SOME reason (have no idea why) and into our lane, was one lane both ways. We were going about 45-50 whatever the posted speed limit was and she was moving at a good clip too, I yelled "turn" just as she about hit us, Linda swered just enough to avoid a head on collision. She hit us behind the front bumper, went all the way down the drivers side, blew out the drivers window showering glass all over us and cracked the windshield. Door don't open properly, they're all misaligned and the whole side of the car will need to be replaced along with the window, if they don't total it.
Had glass all over the interior, in our hair and mouths, some small cuts and bruises but nothing serious. Had something in my eye and went to the hospital to have it checked, make sure nothing penetrated the eyeball and good news, nothing did. Still not sure what the bump on my eyeball is, will have to get to an eye specialist for that. Linda had pain in her neck and shoulder from the seatbelt, my back is hurting from the jarring of the hit. The girl then swerved back to her side and hit another car in the rear end, he had to be taken to the hospital as did the girl driving who started the whole mess. They shut down 289 in Prosper due to the mess, that damned road needs better lighting. Now we have to wait for the insurance company to get the police report and go from there. Crappy way to start the weekend.
Would have been there otherwise, would have limped in to the meeting. lol Does Keith have a list for us, what needs to be done or is this already all handled? Was really looking forward to the meeting too.

Moe, sorry to hear about the traffic accident, glad you and Linda weren't seriously injured. I hope Keith will provide some more direction concerning the show next Saturday, so everything won't be the VERY last minute...

Moe so glad you and Linda are OK. I got slammed real bad when I had my wreck. broken ribs from the seat belt and a slight fracture in my right hand where it flew off the gearshift into the wheel. My poor little green Mustang was wiped out and it took a while to get the dust to settle ...even using USAA.
I'm not a lawyer so I can't advise you but. Go after the insurance company hard and furiously. Get some attorney to write a letter. Pain and suffering, loss of vehicle., medical bills, and futre problems with those soft tissue neck and back injuries.
You have her for the tort of Negligence as a reasonable person would not be traveling at a high rate of speed and cross into oncoming traffic. She did it with full knowledge of what she as doing and she caused personal injury to you, your wife, and property.

I haven't either, although I could pull it up. I'll just do it in the morning I suppose.

Hey everybody, glad I got to see all of you at the show even if I haven't been around here or the shop for meetings the last couple of months.
Needless to say, I didn't see this thread. But next time there's a show or any kind of function I'll be glad to volunteer however I can.
Hope to see y'all at the end of the month,
Bruce.
