Well, hopefully the title is self explanatory. in the kick-ass movie "The Transporter", the Chinese girl(Lai) comes across some of Jason Statham's(Frank) records & mementos of his time in service. Though it's mentioned that he's " Special Forces" several times, the unit/coumtry for which he served is never made clear. Based on the accent, I'd assume he was a Pommie chap in her Majesty's service, but the cammies she discovers in the same scene have a decidedly US Woodland pattern on them. So- anyone have a good idea as to the type of medal he'd been awarded, & what type of shoulder flash was seen on the jacket?
Just something to ponder after 2AM EST...

Wow- 2 days, 22 views, & not a single reply...
No one knows the answer, or have you just not seen the movie?
I tell ya, if you just want a rollickin' good time with lots of absurd action & chop-socky fight sequences(think Jackie Chan just not as funny...), kick back with your favorite brew & watch this one & the sequel (Transporter 2 duh) back-to-back. You won't be disappointed. Statham Rocks! (For those not familiar with the film, he also played 'Turkish' in "Snatch")

And maybe someone somewhere will figure out the medal & unit for me... :-)

I think both of the Transporter movies 'rocked'. Statham is one of my favourite actors as well. As for the medal - what medal? - all I was looking at was the babe.

Well, here are the pics-

I re-touched touched them for easy viewing although they are still blurry.

And just for fun the car he drives from the movie, which my dad also has. (he even put German plates on it)

Mystery solved for that. but why would someone with a british accent be in the U.S Special Forces, and what about the mysterious countryless armpatch. 1 answer just brings more questions.

Because it is a movie made for your entertainment...

The armpatch looks like the UN patch worn by UN Peacekeepers

Let's see...what little I saw of either one involved a car crashing through a cement wall, flying across a street, crashing through anopther wall and still being able to roll and have neither flattened tires nor body damage. And you are concerned about the accuracy of a medal? :-)
