Just visited a hobbyshop for hte first time. My math lab was cancelled so i figured id put the spare time for good use! Man did my jaw drop to hte floor. The hobby shop was two stories high with one dedicated in part to railroad supplies, and 1/5th for rc, and the rest for models! the tanks were piled ceiling high! almost all the new dragon offerings, as well as plenty of tamiya, accademy, and a lot of oop italering like their flak 43.(nice kit btw) So i picked up woodlands scenics water effects for a dio( no i need some clear resin) and testors dullcoat( took a bit the find the big bottles) maskol, and mig powder.
So far the water is great, the maskol works WOW much better than the micro mask although the thing smells worse than a stink bomb, the mig powder is very nice, better than the mmp products, but over double the price! , and well, the dullcoat was actualyy glosscoat( i realised it when i was waiting at the train! DOHHH! )
So that was my little trip and i invite anyone visiting montreal city to visit udisco!

Wow! That sounds really cool! I've never seen a two story hobby shop. Talk about one heckuva brick-and-mortar! Have any pictures? Thanks for your time!

Scott got the link right! The top floor is the storage of kits, and the second floor is beside the "tapiserie beaubien" and has about the same size .

Well François, that seems to be a modeler wonderland. Thanks a lot for making me discover this spot. Till now a was going to Hobby Junction Express near Dorval airport, which is a great place to find out ALL Dragon and Tamiya kits at good prices, but there are quantities of things they never heard about like Mig pigments and stuff.

I'll try to go see it live this weekend.

Ciao

Hi all,

François you remind me good memories !!
I spent 1 year in Montreal for my studies and I went several times to U Disco. I remember beside the first room you have a huge warehouse full of stuff. I bought them some figs (VP I guess), but I remember that in the other U Disco shop, dedicated to resin figs, they sold illegal casted figures....
Anyway the size of the shop is amazing !
Best,
Julien

I wish I had something like that here. My LHS is about 5,000 square feet, but it only has one dinky little double sided shelf unit for scale military models (of the ground variety) and another identical one for scale aircraft. Its mostly RC and trains.
