Hi guys

I'm trying to find an answer to a question my friend asked me for one of his papers.

"how many M1A1 Thompson machine guns were produced in total to the nearest thousand"

Would anyone out there know the answer, I'm stumped!

2,892,000 is the number I come up with.

The number I have is 1,750,000 M1 & M1A1 made between 1939 and 1945.
