I have some basic questions about crude oil
1. It comes as a measuremnt of a barrel. What is that in gallons or liters?
2. How much crude is requied to make 1 gallon of gasoline
3. " " " " " " " 1 pound of plastic
4. " " " " " " " 1 quart of motor oil

I think a barrel of oil is 55gallons.
What you can make from it probably depends on the type of crude you have whether it's light or heavy crude.

Roughly 55 gal or 200 liters is the standard.
Yes the Crude type Dictates what will be made From it. the Light crude is better for Gasoline Etc. (mostly in the Mid east)
the Heavy Crude makes Lubricats, heating oil, etc. (mostly in the Americas)
(I work for a company that makes Oil field & Refinery Eqiopment)
Note: there is no exact formula as conditions change consantly
Gas approx 1.5 gal of Crude to 1 Gal of Gas
42 gallons of crude oil to make 2.5 quarts of virgin lubricating oil
(! gallon of recycled used oil to make the same 2.5 quarts)
Plastic isn't as easy as there's alot of oil derivitive Chemicals in the different types of plastics.
