hi guys , hope you all had a good christmas and new year ,, im asking for some help again , as you all know now, im into modern armour ,, a friend gave me the 1/24th scale sea harrier kit for crimbo. i used to build aircraft about 20 years ago ,, i have told my 7 year old son i would build it for him and he can start to pick up modeling helping me with the build and painting ( i have high hope for this little one ) so i could use some help with visual reference material and pics of other models so i have some clue as to where im going with this project , i cant seem to find much on the net ,, by the way im building it as the
no.899 naval air sqn, fleet air arm , rnas yeovilton, may 1991 aircraft which is painted overall satin dark sea grey .. hope someone can help

Ian, if no one offers any help here, or in the mean time, do a google search. The only probelm with that is some sites have the info you need, but it won't come up in a google search{like the interior shots of an M4 t18 tractor that I needed}...that's when a fellow member here can lead you in the right direction. Try a search on site, then on google while waiting for answers here...

Why in the world would you refer to aircraft modeling as "the dark side"?
Who says that we must stick with one type of modeling.It is good you are opening up to aircraft,you should try ships also.They all present variety and diffrent challenges.No sense being closed minded.

anthony i never meant to annoy or upset any one just a little light humor is all ,, i started out with 1/72nd scale airfix planes, and i am ,, sorry i was a pro figure painter for 3 1/2 years with a uk company called n&t productions ,,, i have done every kind of modeling and your right , there is so much to learn from other aspects of the hobby , so im back to planes for the first time in about 20 years ,, i need all the help i can get ,,

Hi Ian try the Aircraft Resource centre .com thats a good site they have a walk around of the Sea Harrier and some kits in their Gallery. hope this helps
P.S.just did a google image search for sea Harrier lots of photo's even a cut away drawing.

no offense taken..........sorry if I came off wrong............all plastic modeling is good,were all in the same community and much of the techniques and info apply to all.
