Sorry I can't help you much, but maybe if you check this thread at M-L: http://www.network54.com/Forum/110741/message/1167819235/Some+scratch+built+models+updated+again . The guy is scratchbuilding (amongst other cool things) a LVTE-1. If you e-mail him, maybe he have some references for you.
