Here it is January 1 2007 - first day of Model Geek Universiy Assemby 101 class.
Please read this whole Post there is a lot of information.

Here is the original thread to get everyone up to speed on the concept and interest, and a few initial questions.
Concept
Interest Thread

Here is a quick recap.
- It's a non-genre specific campaign allowing anyone on any KitMaker site to participate.
- It 'biggy backs' on other campaigns so you can do two or more at once including this one.
- This class/campaign will focus on one aspect of model building - Assembly to it may finish at a different time than others.
- It's goal is to bring about a high degree of interaction amoung members to share ideas and techniques and tips.

Class Details
Overview
This class is a class that focuses on the basic assembly of a kit Out Of The Box (OOTB).
You will be graded on the following aspects of kit prep and assembly

-Research/Planning
-Tools
-Part Prep and Clean up
-Assembly – part fit
-Assembly – seam lines
-Assembly – glue marks, gap filling
-Assembly – Alignment
-General Presentation of an unpainted kit (paint job not finished – sub-assemblies are acceptable with paint)

Class Requirements
1. Select and build one kit.
2. Post two questions/comments on each of the assignments or freely available readings.
3. Submit one photo representing each of the above grade points or as requested (special workarounds for those who don't have easy access to digital cameras).

Timing
The initial timing is that this class will run one quarter. Each Topic will run about 1-2 weeks. This is designed in to give all participants a good chance to meet the goals. WIth all the different time zones, family life, work loads, computer/camera access there needs to be ample time.
Each topic will run about 2 weeks unless noted.
Obiviously if everyone is up to speed we can move quicker, at my discresion.

Awesome!

I'm wrapping up some other projects, so all I've really got to do is select a subject - although I'm sure you can guess the genre

Unfortunately I'll be dropping out Scott.
My News Years Resolution is to finish at least half of what is on the work bench before starting anything else.
