Hello fellow modelers,
To add more "life" to the D-Day scene I am currently working on (see diorama forum/June6 1942) I decided to add some sandbags to the DUCK. This is my first try sculpting. I used Tamiya miliput for making the sandbags. I have to say that although these are just some simple sandbags it took quite a while to get them to where they are now. I can only imagine how hard it is sculpting figures,...
Anyway, it was a great experience making them! I think they turned out quite alright! But please see yourself.
Comments/critisism/feedback is always welcome!
Cheers,
Heli

Gday Heli
These turned out alright!
They look good for scale and accuracy. Maybe the centre right one could be bulked up a little? Glad to hear you are trying your hand at some additions to your diorama...
Cheers

I guess it would be hard to mess up the look of a sand bag (basically any shape) but have made some very convincing ones here. Nice work!

They look good to me, the only thing i will add and i don't know if you have or not already is to may be add a patern with a piece of material pushed onto them and then removed just an idea

Fine indeed, but I would also give it some pattern with gauze or something by simply pressing it on the putty.

I think your being modest. Those look great .
Instead of bulking out the middle sandbag how about a rip with sand ( C.A glue and plaster) spilling out to depict a little shrapnel damage?
Good job!
