It's the second time I experience such a thing : the "edit" button simply disappears at the bottom of my post
What's going on ?

The edit button does disappear after 24 or 48 hours. Can't remember which right now. After that time you would need to make a new post for corrections/changes.

A gaming forum that i'm a member of uses a preview button so you can see what you post looks like with all the smileys, etc and lets you proofread you post before submitting it. Maybe its something we could have in the future?
