two part epoxy

Has anyone tried this. I'm looking for milliput substitutes or alternatives and ran into this stuff (via a link on the links page).

the only major diff. might be it'll have a coarser grain than milliput. other than that it's pretty much the same thing.

Hi Scott,
I haven't tried that product but I'm inclined to think it would be too grainy for our purposes (since it's more of an industrial product).

I'm not a fan of Milliput so I've tried a few things. My absolute favorite is Aves Apoxy .

Extremely fine grain, very good working time, not "crumbly" like Milliput, available in different colors, cures rock hard, easy to smooth out with simple hand lotion, not real expensive, available in various sizes.

Cures the gout, works as an alternative to gasoline, restores hair loss....
Err..I may be getting a little carried away there :-)

Hope this helps,
Craig

True - didn't think about grain, good point.

I like the look of the Aves stuff - nice that it comes in different sizes. That's a big deal I run into, I need a little bit and the rest sits for a long time, sometime going bad.

Thanks.

Hi,

I've never used milliput and I'm not sure what you're wanting to do with it so I'm not positive that my suggestion could help but here goes...Have you ever tried R&J's Zim-it-rite? It's a two part putty that can be manipulated for quite a while; it doesn't harm plastic and cleans up with water. I've used it for a variety of purposes.

Hope this helps,

Scott

Hey Scott. I use something very similar I bought at an auto parts store. I works great and is very smooth. I got mine at Autozone for $3.
