I recently bought by Amazon two great books about the Spitfire AC.
They are:
1) Spitfire "A Test Pilotīs Story" by Jeffry Quill
2) Sigh for a Merlin "Testing the Spitfire" by Alex Henshaw

Those who like the Spitfire canīt miss them, but I highly recomend the two books for everyone interested in aircrafts and WW2.

Excellent reading

Excellent books both; great insights into why the Spitfire was still capable of being a potent aircraft right throughout the war.

Hi Carlos!

Thanks for the heads up! Why don't you write a review about those books for Aeroscale?

Jeffery Quills book is an excellent read and a fascinating insight into the development of the Spitfire over the years.
2 parts I found partcularly interesting were the sections telling of his time in a front line fighter squadron to evaluate the Spitfire under combat conditions and the planned raid to capture and fly back to England an Fw190!
