Howzit Aussies,

Just a quick enquiry...

Are there any clubs and LHSs in the Bayside area of Melbourne? How about Melbourne in general? What are the service and prices like?

Thanks mates,

Rudi

Hey there Rudi,

There are no Hobby shops in the Bayside area that I know off. In terms of Melbourne in general then in the CBD you've got:

Victorian Hobby Center (definitely one of the best)
Hobby Place
Hearns Hobbies

Out in the suburbs there are some good hobby stores and two of the best are:
Models & Hobbies 4 U
Hobby HQ

As far as clubs go I'm a member of IPMS and I don't know a whole lot about the other Melbourne clubs, such as Eastern Suburbs or Waverley. However, IPMS are a great bunch of guys and we're always on the lookout for new members.

Cheers
Darren

Thanks Darren,

I'm sort of just sussing out the scene for a mate... figured the only way to post here in this Community forum was to set my locale to Oz

Thanks

I just visited Victorian Hobby centre and Hearn’s Hobbies (I think that is the name of the place, under flinders street) and they were both really good stores and the staff were excellent!

Hi,

Metropolitan Models and Hobbies in Station Street Box Hill have a terrific selection of armour. They even stock Tristar as well as the major brands.

Another good club is the Dandenong Scale Model Club. Great buch of guys down there. Meets every second Friday. Possibly the closest one to the Bayside area.
