I wonder if this stuff would be good for some "one off" molds. It looks like it has the same properties as commercial casting sand.

Not familiar with 'Moon Sand',but I know Play Dough works for temp. one-piece molds.

Very interesting, Im glad the kids were off to school when I brought that link up! I've always gotten great results for squash casting and primitive (my skills being primative ) molds from Permatex silicone gasket maker. The one that works best is the high temp in a silver tube with a blue cap. I believe they call it Permatex Ultra-Blue, dont have a tube on hand to check though. Guess I need to hit Autozone for more hobby supplies!
