Define historian? There are lots of people who have a good deal of knowledge about history (present company included, if you'll allow me to toot my own horn), but what separates them from historians? #:-)

Moi aussi. I have dabbled in the regimental history and have an incomplete but simmering manuscript. My real job has to take precedence for now.

Why not try and come up with a good 'what if' question and see if anyone has some ideas?

Should be able to get some responses.

How about the what's the best rifle of WWII or what was the biggest allied blunder?
