Hello All,

First time posting on here, thanks to the chappie at Telford for sorting out my login!!!!

Point of note for me this year, was the number of juniors from overseas competing in the competition (the main one, not the make and take). The quality of the models was staggering and puts me well to shame!!!! I get the feeling that modelling is a much bigger hobby when you get outside the UK. What are we doing here in blighty to encourage our youngsters (not that mine needs any encouragement!!), but in general, there seemed to be very few uk juniors taking part. Bit worrying methinks.

Great show though, nice to meet everyone, spent all weekend chatting to various chappies around the hall, met some really talented and pleasant. people

Hi Ian and welcome to the Kitmaker Network. The chappie that helped sort out your loggin was possibly the owner of the these sites, Jim Starkweather. He made the trip over from the US
As far as youngsters go well I am going to see the the Air Cadets in Grimsby for a day of modelling encouragement and we do try and encourage youngsters at the the shows that we attend with our IPMS branch.
