Wow Sonny
I've never seen this before.. For the uninitiated, is it a real photo that has been through a graphics program with highlights altered to remove blurriness, and maybe the adding of slabs of colour? Quite effective!
Cheers

Yep, seems like the vogue thing in photography at the moment. We try to get rid of depth of field problems, and try to make it look full size, they take the full size, and try to make them look like models.

yeah, quite ironic really!

i haven't had the time to really observe what was being done to the photos, but i found an entry on wiki regarding this photography technique, apparently it involves tilting and shifting the lens in relation to the film, if i understand it correctly, then this is not something you can easily do with a normal camera, and i think you have to use one of those classic cameras that had bellows between the lens and the film...

so for these photos that we see, it's probably altered digitally though i am not sure...

and offhand, i'd say the main thing that they do to the image is to reduce depth of field or focus so that only a small portion of the picture is in focus (sharp)...like what grumpy said;
and seems like they saturate the colors a bit more than usual...

anyway, its all very interesting

Al, our diverse modeling subjects and styles has crossed over to the life size world where they wish to emulate us, but not build models. :-) Perhaps soon they will start arguing about the number of rivets, FS colors, blacken muzzles, and bulged tires. :-) :-)

they are gonna start chipping away paint on real tanks and deflating tires so that they have nice little bulge at the base
