Going to be in Townsvill for abot 3 1/2 weeks with little or nothing to do on weekends, so wondering if there are any halfway decent hobby stores worth browsing through. 
Picked up Tamiya Universal Carrier to take with me since it seems reasonably small and uncomplicated.

There was (about 12 months ago) Paradise Hobbies.  I can't find any listing for it anymore so he may not be in business.  He used to advertise in ModelArt but I don't get that mag any more so can't help you there.

Found a place called  Johns Hobbies. 
Have a decent range of stuff including Vallejo paints. Picked up a few bits and pieces from there.

Yeah I was there at John's earlier this year and I thought they had a very good range.
