Hello! I'm curious as to what types of finish everyone uses for their final prototype?
For example, if you finished scratch building a vehicle and you plan on casting it . . . what type of finish would you spray on it as the final layer? Would you just leave it with a fine coat of primer? Or would you finalize with a coat of matte clear or gloss clear?
Also, what methods worked best in the past?

I never paint any of my pieces that I plan to cast. I will coat them with a releasing agent so that I can remove them from the mold.

Thanks for the reply, Dave! With your method, how does the end result look? The resin result that is. Is the surface shiny and smooth?
