Sorry, did you mean ' Finding the Fallen' on the History Channel? This was a program about archaeologists excavating sites in France and Belgium for First World War remains??
If this is what you mean, I was fascinated by it!!

Yes, I found it so interesting that I watched the repeat on Sunday, it was fascinating in the artifacts and details that were found as well as very poignant at the care that was taken with the French soldiers, who were found and later taken for proper burial in one of the cemetaries.
It was frankly amazing that so much of the trenches were still there are all this time and as there are not very many veterans left now. The information that existed to explain why the German trench was in such bad condition around the MG post, was excellent in that the records of the actual reason was in existance in records that are still held. Programmes like this add to us remembering the manner in which trench warfare affected a whole generation.
I was especially interested as my Great Grandfather on my Dads side was actually gassed on the Somme and died of the effects in the late 1920's.

They showed both programs.... Finding The Fallen and Digging Up The Trenches.... both were great I have to say!

I can't find if they repeat the Findin The Fallen (Discovery Channel) or the Digging Up The Trenches (History Channel), sorry. Could maybe email them to see if they plan to repeat anytime soon....
