Have you downloaded an updated version of WindowsMedia player recently?
I did and i can't get my CDs, burned or original, to play w / media player.
They play fine with real player/spinner/yahoo.

You might want to download another media player.

Hope this helps a little...I'm no computer whiz...FOR SURE!!!

Are you using the latest, that is Windows Media Player 10?
A lot of the 'upgrades' to older versions alter codecs and do not play back properly.

I don't know if your setup has this, but in many cases there is a cable running from the dvd to the sound card. You might want to check that, it could have fallen off. If you are running XP you can go to the control panel/system and delete your sound card. I know this sounds drastic, but nothing will really happen other than when you restart your computer your system will notice an unidentified device and load it in again. It should then recognize your many players. If not get in touch with the place you bought from since it is only 6 months old, you should still have guarenteed support.
