Hey gang,
Anyone here watch a show on BBC Canada/USA Called Top Gear? Three British fellas road test cars.. Awesome show.. The new season has started and I caught an episode yesterday.. The Set looked strangely familier.. Second time I saw it I realised it was set up to look like1/1 model sprues loaded with car parts...

I've seen it a few times on TV here in the States. It's an OK show but not something I would search for to watch.

My boss downloads it and we watch it quite often. I love it. I love the writing and dry humor and interaction between the guys.

I especially loved the time they drove two cars through a British Army test grounds and had snipers stationed all around to try and shoot it (with training lasers of course). The idea was the faster better performing car would not be hit as often. It was a fun episode.

Great Stuff

I watch the show and I really like it. Did you know that Richard "Hamster" Hammond crashed a couple of months ago in jet dragster doing 300 mph! He's back in business for the next season it
looks like....lucky fella!
Have you seen the episode where Jeremy Clarkson drives a new faster Lotus Elise and RAF flies an Apache helicopter and try get a missile to lock on him? All within the race track perimeter....

Guilty

I watch it whenever I can, first on the BBC, and then the reruns on Dutch television.

What about the episode where Jeremy drove a Range Rover Freelander, and had to escape from a Challenger tank.. he didn't make it .

I saw it a couple of times by accident on BBC America, I think. I will take a pair of loitering A-10s or one Ohio Class boomer versus whatever they are driving..

I kid

Favourite has to be the attempt to kill the Toyota pick-up.... :-)

They drowned it, dropped it of a building, burnt it, mashed it with a wrecking ball, parked it in Manchester, but it would not die... incredible..

There are continuing calls from the PC brigade for the programm to be canceled, because it " encourages speeding and irresponsible behaviour"... good, lets have more of it.

Whilst w're at gratuitous mayhem, what about " World's Wildest Police Videos".

cheers

I really love the show. Was very sad to hear Richard "Hamster" Hammond got hurt. Any news on how he is doing? Best episode was the Rome to London race of a Bugatti Veyron vs. a Cessna 152.

Richard Hammond

Richard Hammond continues to do well following his near-fatal accident in a 300 mph jet-powered dragster while filming for Top Gear last month. Richard has now given his first interview for the Daily Mirror, where he describes how he 'nearly died'. You can read more at BBC news.

An internet campaign to raise money for the Yorkshire Air Ambulance (YAA), the rescue service that took Richard to hospital after his crash, has so far raised more than £177,000.

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your messages to Richard. The Top Gear production team is incredibly touched by your kind words. We're keeping every message of support, and will make sure Richard gets to see them all.

If you'd like to add your support, you can email us your message.

Filming of the next series of Top Gear has now been resumed. The start of the new series will be announced here in the coming weeks
