I was building a piece for the engine door on the back of my M3 lee and ran into a problem.

Without having the right thickness of plastic I improvised by building a frame and covering it with a piece on thin clear plastic. (Also painted it so I wouldn’t lose it anywhere.)

The next day I found that the front piece has sunk into the frame.

Here are to pictures to show it.

Any one have any idea what happened and how to keep it from happening again?

Its probably a chemical reaction between the plastic and the paint. I've no idea how to stop it happening but I must say I kinda like it! Opens up loads of possibilities...

Nice one!

Could be but I don’t know.
I painted it using one of Testors paint markers.

May have to try and see if I can do it again.
