Hello everyone, finally registered after months of reading articles and lots of drooling. So glad I did, now that I see how much more is offered at this site.
About me, I am 43 and I just left teaching about 5 months ago after 11 years of teaching art in local High School. I have started my own Handyman service and am loving it. Got my Bachelors from SFSU in art, and my Masters in Education here in San Diego.
As far as modeling goes, i did a lot of it when I was young, teen years. Just this last year I have started up again and I am really really enjoying it. I also paint lead figures, the Dungeon and Dragons type, but I am mostly doing plastic AFVs.
Thanks for the great site.

Gday Pat and welcome!
So what's your pleasure in AFVs? Or do you just build anything interesting?
You're in a lovely part of the world...
Haven't been in SD since about 2000, but loved it every time
Was a regular at OB Int. hostel, livin' large for a while...
Cheers
Brad

Thanks for the warm welcome!
To answer your question Brad, I am drawn to German WWII armor but I am pretty open to most things. I built mostly American WWII armor when I was a kid, as well as all the different things that came in the Model of the Month club.
Things are so different today, with so many more great kits being offered from so many differrent manufacturers. My plan was to start small and build my skills up so I have built a few 1/72 airplanes, and tanks, I just recently finished the Tamiya 1/35th Stuart and worked hard on my skills with washes. I have a cabinet full of kits that are cleaned and ready to go, but the other day I bought the Dragon 1/35th German Halftrack 250/3 and couldnt wait to start it, so last night I began work on that.
Now that I can afford to buy kits that are really nice, unlike as a kid with a paper route, I sorta feel like a pig in the pantry! I have my eye on that Tiger I being advertised on the Armorama home page, as well as a Bradley and a Merkava, so right now I am pretty unfocused in my direction.
