Okay.
Post away. It is only 10 minutes to game time. I am stuck in a hotel in Columbus Ohio, by myself with the lap top, a case of beer and my Colts hat.
Should be a great day of football. Bengals Ravens, Colts Pats, Boys Skins...

So post it up...

Shaun

Wow,
Ravens are going to get a turn over and score a TD in about 7 plays...

I can't get the Bears game down here Buckeye country.
What do they know about football>

Shaun

EDIT: 4:32 seconds worth of bloodbath in Baltimore. Man I hate the Ravens...

LOL....I think I would've cried if the Illini had pulled off that upset yesterday.

I think the Bengals are over-rated this year.

OMG! The Lions beat the Falcons! They can't even have a losing season properly. A superior effort like today will be the premise for Matt Millen keeping his job!

FIRE MILLEN!

Bears gave the ball to the Phins 6 times and gave them the game, too.
Great ending of the Boys Skins game, Skins scoring on a "bonus" down. Don't think I have seen that.
I thought the Falcons defense was supposed to be good?

Shaun

Wish i could join you in a beer or two over a game - coverage in the UK is non existant unless you sign up to satelite sports, and then coverage is one game a week - not worth the cost i'm afraid.

Looks like our match up this week could be close - we'll know by the time i get to work tommorow - or by when you go to bed tonight.

Enjoy the rest of the evening.

Was Brady wearing the three rings on his throwing hand? Maybe that's why he threw 4 picks...

He doesn't play that well when he's down. I really hope that Manning gets a Super Bowl ring soon. He's one of the best quarterbacks of our lifetime, much better than Brady. If you look at it realistically, he's in his 9th season. Most QBs last at most 15 seasons before even they start to look very average (Brett Favre for instance). Peyton's got more good years behind him than in front of him.

Even with the Pats sloppy playing, the score was hardly one-sided.

Game came down the the last possession, like I sort of thought it would. Brady could very well have pulled it out. The Colts receivers (Harrison) are not getting any younger either. I think Harrison has been playing nine seasons.

Well, the more things change the more they stay the same. The Falcons looked like the Falcons of years gone by yesterday. I know there are those out there that will say Detroit isn't really a 2 & 6 team, but at some point if your a good team even having a bad day you have to step up and beat the teams you're supposed to, ie. the Giants yesterday. Oh well, hope they learned something today and can put it together for Cleveland next week.

The Colts are still undefeated!! Hot damn!! I totally agree with what Rob said guys. I think we are getting to watch one of the great quarterbacks of all time in Peyton. I hope he can get that ring before he runs out of those good years.

I sit corrected. Harrison has been in the league for 11 years. He has to be the class of the league as far as receivers go. He did not put the ball down and use it as a pillow after the amazing catch Sunday night.

Good article at link:

Oh, and what a great ending to a great weekend of ball. Guy from the Raiders kneeing the guy from the Seahawks. Class program they have there...

Yeah, one head stomp by a Titan and now a knee by a Raider. Did he draw a fine from the league?

I totally agree with you about the class thing. It's to bad some of the younger guys don't try to emulate Harrison instead of some of these other tasteless receivers in the league. Act like you've been there before.

Not yet as far as I know Rob. (Stayed up all night watching election returns) I do look for about a 25k fine and least a 2 game suspension.

Of course, 25k to him is like $150 dollars to everyone else.

Well I got the 25K spot on for the fine. But, no suspension, which sort of suprised me...

Personally I really like the little shows after the touchdowns. If your a fan of that team you love it. If you're a rival then you just want to go for blood!! If you don't care either way you just gotta love the creativity!!

I think it's hilarious.

Alan, I guess I am old school. Walter Payton never felt the need. Jim Brown never felt the need. Emmitt Smith, Jerry Rice, Art Monk...
They were doing what they got paid for and it was enough.
No one high fives me at the production meeting because I don't have 160 tons of castings a day being returned to the foundry. It is my job.

On a side note, how many commercials do you see with Terrell or either one of the Bengals recievers in them?

True that those players had more class but they don't inspire me to want to kick some butt. If Terrell Owens scored and did that little sleeping routine against my team I'd want to stuff it down his throat.

And that's a good thing....

You can have the trash talkers, dancers, and show-boats, I don't need some clown wiggling through the end zone or thumping their own chest to get me pumped up. I'll take the guys who go out do what they do best, and do it with some class. Like, another name to add to Shaun's short list, a Detroit guy, Barry Sanders. I'll say it again, act like you've been there before.

Coming in this one a bit late!! I've been hiding after that but whopping the Fins gave us!! Now we begin the real tough part of our schedule and a not so postive note.

Very interesting NFL season. The NFC is really kinda muddled up. Some of the teams I thought to be top contenders are in the middle of the pack....Eagles, Panthers, Falcons....
