Just being watching this show, I love it to bits....two questions fellas.
Which is your favorite TV show?
And....
Is M.A.S.H 4077 the only show of its kind, is there any from WWI, WWII or Vietnam?
Sorry fellas, need to get back to my M.A.S.H...

Hey Jan,
I grew up watching MASH. I love it. The only other comedy that I know of is McHale's Navy (the series from the 1962-1966). I know that they tried a Vietnam era M*A*S*H type show called China Beach in the early 1990's, but it was an hour long drama. M*A*S*H broke the mold. If you haven't seen the movie, you need to.

What about Combat? I'm far too young, as it was in B/W, but my pa said that it was the greatest thing since sliced bread... Starred Vic Morrow with US GIs in Europe methinks...

I grew up watching MASH and loved it.
I don't remember any other shows that ran as long or even close. MASH won a bunch of awards.
There were some others but I don't remember any of them.

Combat! was GTG. There was also Rat Patrol, Garrison's Guerillas, Hogan's Heroes, McHale's Navy, and 12 O'Clock High. They were all out in the Sixties...I guess I've just dated myself now. Oh well, back to m'rocking chair.

There was a how called "Anzacs", about Aussies during WWI.
It starred Paul "Crocodile dundee" Hogan.
Was a really good series, but cannot get it in the the UK - only in Australia.

Never cared for MASH and never really watched it.
That said, don't forget the classics:
Hogan's Hero's
Sgt. Bilko
Gomer Pyle
Rat Patrol (yeah, it was comedic)
