I am planning on buying the complete 26 volume set of the documentary "The World at War" on DVD. I would like to hear all of your comments about this series.

Wolf,
A pretty good series, IMHO.
Here in Richmond it was shown on PBS and hosted by a very knowledgable history professor by the name of Charles Sydnor. He would have a bit of a preface and some in-depth information at the end of each episode. Most informative.
BTW, where did you find the DVD's. Special order?

Hi, I have this complete series on DVD and although it was made quite a while ago now, it still is a tremendous series. My only criticism is that topics are not covered in chronological order. The only disadvantage of this is if you want to go back and search for a particular scene you need to know which episode it was in, not really a major problem.
I highly reccoment it.

Cheers,

Pipesmoker, I got my DVD's on-line from Play.com
Free postage (not sure if it would be to the US) and prompt delivery.

Wolf and Roger,
Thanks for the info. Looks like a use for part of my tax refund.
