Nice work buddy.
I seem to remember a long time ago I had the same idea....although it ws just leaving the flak on the bed. Not as much work as you did. Some guys said it was gonna be heavy or impossible. Or there was nothing like that.

Excellent conversion Frank. Not much to criticise at this stage. Love these more unusual vehicles. What theatre are you planning for this?
Will be looking out for more updates. Nice one ... and welcome to the site!!

Thanks gents,
I'll designate it to a Luftwaffe-unit, probably Flak-Regiment 103 - 2. FlaK-Korps - Fliegerhorst Venlo, 1940
according to...
Opel Blitz FlaKwagen-38, modell 1940
"The Opel FlaK-38/40 conversion was especially produced to carry a 20mm Flak-38 and was outfitted with a widened rearpart on a strengthened chassis, to produce cargospace for 20mm cartridgecasings, equipment for cleaning and repair, crewmen riflestorage and personal equipment.
In 1940, the Flakwagen was taken in use by the Luftwaffe and 5 of these conversions saw action. Three were taken out during battle, defending the Luftwaffe airfield near Venlo in August 1940.

Hi Frank, looks good!
Where did you get your research photos for this?
Is it based on scale line drawings?
Keep up the good work!
Cheers, Michael

Aloha collegue modellers,
Here a short update on my Opel paintjob, first layer. [wip]
As you can see, there a quite some spots which need build-phase-attention. All little edges will be 'ectomized' and some spots filled with putty, followed by a Vallejo-intervention.
Some details will be added due to indifferences in own work. A leadfoil-towel will be added lying on the corner above the right gasmask-tube. Several personal items such as Fernglas, probably a K98, ammocasings, toolbox...
Then I need to do some further adjustments to the Dragon Flak feetcompartiment, because the Tristar-fellow seems a little too small for this FlaK. Or I'll undertake a translation of the feetcompartiment, or I leave the FlaKchair free...With this in mind, the scenario seems to be unclear...
Hints and tips are allways appreciated
greetz Frank
