Thanks for posting the link Chris. What a great model. I guess it's rather large?
Thanks,

Very impressive. I would need a larger display cabinet for that one.
Thanks for sharing.

Daym, those look neat...
I can't help thinking images like this make me think John Ringo's 'SheVa' gun in his Aldenata series are WAY off.
Take a 16" battleship gun. Triple the barrel length, make the rounds like tank shells (they are listed as 14.7' long & 27" in diameter) Then design a ground-chassis for it, with a full traverse turret and elevation -5 to +90 degrees.
He got a chassis 468 feet long, 385 wide, and the turret roof is 170 feet off the ground. Four tracks sections (2 x 2 configuration) with electric motors on all the roadwheels, powered by four pebble-bed hydrogen-cooled reactors running turbines. 8 rounds on board (9 if you load with one up the spout and a fleet of HEMTT carrying reloads.
I'll add, armor is minimal, and the turret is only enclosed for weather reasons (6" battleship steel)
Looking at Dora's gun, I think his super-artillery' is a bit overdone, wouldn't you?

Dunno. Looks awsome, but even if I had the money and the room for it -would I want to spend years assembling a 2 meters long model? Rust-streaks on every rivet? Evenly paint and weather the beast? This size is way too big.

If you wanted to build this into a diorama of the Dora in transport mode you would need to start with 25 Trumpeter BR52s and a spare football field to lay it all out
