Greetings all;
One of my Romanian contacts sent this today. It concerns a crash of a Dr.I and Nieuport17 repros in Czech republic.
"The main feature was Flying circus from Czech republic. During their display two airplanes collided. Fokker Dr.I clipped the tail of Nieuport 17. (Both airplaned were ultralight replicas some 20 percent smaller). Nieuport went into steep dive and crashed straight into the ground. Amazingly, pilot survived with broken arm and leg and concussion. Dreidecker was able to land safely. Pilots were probably blinded by the sun, which was directly in front.

It's good to know he lived through that, that is one big crash. At least he wasn't a "flamer", to use parlance of the era.
