I was reading a scholarly book about post-war Europe, and there was a brief description of DeGaul's assumption of political leadership for the Free French. The "relief" of the French underground uprising in Paris by the French 2nd Armored is well known, but for the life of me I can't recall what role the Free French forces assumed AFTER the liberation of Paris/France. I've been trying to remember any photos showing those guys anywhere except France, and am drawing a blank.

I can't imagine they just stopped once France was liberated, but....

Anybody got some info on this?

Regards,
Barry

Well, Free French (or just simply French) forces were part of the invasion of Germany, and a French armoured unit was in on the race for the Eagle's Nest. And France was later one of the post-war occupation forces, with its own zone, so they certainly didn't stop with the liberation of France.
