Hey guys. I bought my laptop from a friend of ours. The top was showing a little wear, so I decided to paint it. Solid color just wouldn't do, so I camouflaged it using WW1 German lozenge and my favorite color. My wife and I think it came out awesome. Just a few more coats of clear and it will be done.

Oh that's beautiful...how'd you stencil it out? Looks like sea colors.

Thanks Bob. I drew the pattern out in Corel Draw, seperated them by color and cut it on my handy dandy vinyl cutter (just sign shops have only smaller). I pulled 5 different shades of blue, I'm a ship modeler so I have several, and sprayed the lightest first. Then I layed down a mask and repeated til all the colors were done. I have a SBS on working with masks at Model Shipwrights.
Thomas, Sean and Thomas, thanks. Next step is to apply a couple more clear coats and then my logo on the front.

"like a sign shops, but smaller"...nice! My mother owned ran a sign shop years ago...saw a "standard issue" cutter and saw the price! Hope yours was cheap!
Now, the burning question...you gonna do the bottom of the PC in the other colors that go with the top scheme?
I have a foam RC park flyer{hansa brandenburger H-29...spelling?} that I"d love to cover in that scheme...just can't nail that pattern on paint shop pro or MS paint.
